Adult Coffee Club

Coffee club is a space where Autistic and Neurodiverse adults can connect with each other, foster friendships, and build community while enjoying a favorite beverage and/or snack. Adults are welcome to bring items that make them feel comfortable, can stay as long as they'd like, stim, and parallel play. We ask that participants purchase something from our venues. AuSM will provide a concierge staff to help with questions, check-in, help with ordering, and manage any issues that arise during the club.

Coffee Clubs will be on the second Tuesday of each month (weather permitting) beginning at 3pm to 5pm.

Understanding Autism Virtual Classes are offered by The Autism Society of Minnesota. These classes are perfect for parents, people new to understand what Autism is, and Autistic individuals. Classes will be offered on February 9th, 2026; 12-1pm. March 9th, 2026; 6-7pm. April 13th, 2026; 10-11am. May 11th, 2026; 12-1pm. June 8th, 2026; 6-7pm. Classes are free of charge, but you must register to attend. 

Are you a professional who works with Autistic people? Such as a therapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, psychiatrist, social worker, case manager, or health care provider?  Join the AuSM Professional Networking Group to work with the Autism Society of Minnesota's Counseling and Consulting team that offers a resource to help you network with other professionals. For more than 30 years, The Autism Society of Minnesota has hosted the Minnesota Autism Conference, which brings together Autistic Adults, caregivers, educators, service providers, therapists, and advocates from across Minnesota and beyond. In 202 6, AuSM is making a thoughtful shift to a virtual, tow day format. This change helps lower ticket prices and increase access--with no travel, no hotel costs, less time away from work or caregiving, and more flexibility for how and when you participate. Tickets are now on sale for $149.99. AuSM members get $50.00 off, but there is another way to save more money. Autistic Minnesotans can request the scholarship rate, which is just $74.99. Requesting a scholarship is easy: it's available to all Minnesota residents who identify as Autistic. Since scholarships are funded by AuSM's donors, they are not available outside of Minnesota, but the scholarship rate is also available to Minnesotans marginalized by race, gender, sexuality, and more.  

On May 7th, beginning at 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Joyner Emerick will present a workshop at The Autism Society of Minnesota entitled, Autistic House to Home: A Guide to Affirming Home Space. 

The 26th Annual Steps for Autism in Minnesota will take place beginning at 9am to 12pm on Sunday, May 17th, at the ROC at the St. Louis Park Rec Center. There will be fun activities, an Autism resource fair, and opportunities for community connections. It's always free to attend and the resource fair and event on May 17th, although AuSM requests that you register in advance so we know how many people are coming.  This is an outdoor event in the covered hockey rink behind the Rec Center. Dress in layers, the weather is hard to predict.

• Flash Dance & Sensory Walk--Multiple ways to get your wiggles out.
• Costumed Characters:--Enjoy entertainment and engaging performances for all ages.
• Community Building--Join Families, Autistic individuals, and allies in a welcoming, inclusive space.

MNeurodivergent is a social club rooted in a vision of bringing Neurodivergent Minnesotans together to build meaningful connections.  Its core principle is to foster an environment where all are treated with dignity and respect regardless of ability or preference. Matthew the #ActuallyAutisticCoach offers groups for newly identified Autistic individuals, as well as unmasking, burnout, Autistic meltdowns and shutdowns. Dr. Scott Frasard invites you to get involved with The Autistic Exchange Project. Inspired by Kyle McDonald's red paperclip story, this project trades one small item at a time, increasing the value with each exchange. The goal of the first trade is to eventually obtain an AAC device for a nonspeaking Autistic person who needs communication support.
